Broke But Brunching

All wallets including ours seem to have a case of the January blues going but there always seems to be room enough to go brunching. Am I right? We’re fighting the downfall of festivities with more brunch, booze and all the leftovers that are still creeping from our cupboards with everything turning increasingly more homemade rather than a trip to town.

This weekend we brought in the big guns, a stack of toasted sesame bagels with all the best bits to share with our equally jaded friends. Smoked salmon, chopped dill and lemon juice mixed in to some Philadelphia we had left over from Christmas, cucumber ribbons (which also go nicely in Gin) and a tonne of the holy grail - avocado.
